2022: Agreement on the construction of a nuclear medicine center in the Stavropol Territory

On June 15, 2022, an agreement was signed in St. Petersburg on the intentions of cooperation between the Government of the Stavropol Territory and Rusatom Healthcare, a division accumulating the expertise of Rosatom State Corporation in the field of health. The signed document fixed the intentions of the parties regarding the creation Stavropol Territory of a center nuclear medicine for the provision of specialized medical medical care in the region oncology in the conditions of round-the-clock and day hospitals.

According to Igor Obrubov, General Director of Rusatom Healthcare, patients in the center will be able to receive a full range of medical and diagnostic services. It is assumed that the center will annually provide more than two thousand medical services to residents of the Stavropol Territory, as well as to patients from neighboring regions. The planned start date for construction is 2023. As of June 2022, Rusatom Healthcare is already successfully implementing similar projects in the Lipetsk region and the Republic of Bashkortostan.

In addition, as he added, in order to properly train personnel to ensure the effective functioning of the network of nuclear medicine centers, it is planned to implement a training program for medical personnel in the regions of work.

As the Governor of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov said, the Stavropol Territory is an active participant in the implementation of the national project "Healthcare," specialized federal programs. In 2022, it is planned to build 25 healthcare facilities in the region. In particular, as he specified, an outpatient cancer care center in Essentuki will be opened. And in 2024, it is planned to commission the building of the regional oncological dispensary under construction - it will become one of the largest facilities of this kind in the South of Russia and the North Caucasus.
