2022: Installation of a ramp with a coating of recycled plastic caps

On June 30, 2022, the Perekrestok retail chain announced that it had installed a ramp with a coating of recycled plastic caps in the capital's supermarket of the chain at 80 Dmitrovskoye Shosse.

The project was implemented within the framework of the social program "Accessible Environment" together with the partner of ANO "Space of Equals" and the company "EcoTechnologies" and is aimed at creating a comfortable infrastructure for people with limited mobility to visit.

A batch of plastic caps collected through special containers "Good Caps" was transferred for processing to the Tver Secondary Polymers Plant. The plant in Tver is part of EcoPartners Group of Companies and has been specializing in the processing of plastic packaging since 2005. For the production of one ramp, 350 kg of raw materials were required, which is about 17,500 plastic covers.

To create a ramp, a special drawing was developed together with the partner of ANO "Space of Equal Opportunities," which fully meets all the requirements for the affordable and comfortable movement of people with limited mobility - this is confirmed by an audit by the inclusive Everland project.

The Good Caps project was launched in the Perekrestok retail chain in 2021 together with Henkel. As part of the project, 343 supermarkets of the chain installed special boxes in the form of giant bottles, which made it possible to collect more than 12 tons of raw materials. Activity has become an important step towards the formation of useful habits and an environmentally friendly lifestyle among buyers. In addition, part of the recycled plastic was sold, and the proceeds - 300 thousand rubles - were directed to charity at the Volunteers for Orphans Foundation.
