Datapro completed design of the power center for DPC of DataPro Moscow 1

On November 17, 2016 the IBS company announced work on creation complex 3D - the project of the engineering systems of DPC to the order of DataPro company.

Project Tasks

The main DPC of the customer - the platform in the city of Moscow. The total area of DPC of 16 thousand m ² that allows placement of 3 thousand server racks. In the fall of 2016 DataPro put into operation the second queue of DPC – DataPro Moscow 1.

In the course of building of the second queue, the complex of works connected with architectural and engineering training of the building is carried out. The project of a power supply system was prepared by IBS, having won competition.

For DPC it was required to create the project of substation of medium voltage in structure:

• six transformers (10 kV / 0.4 kV)
• six dynamic 1600 kVA uninterruptible power supply units everyone,
• life support system (cooling, fuel supply, gas-exhaust),
• the system of distribution frames with cable channels.

Design of systems in 3D using the Autodesk Revit program was the main condition of tender, in addition to qualification of the company.

Project Progress

The first project executed on the Autodesk Revit platform as the IBS company - design of the 9.6 MVA power center for DataPro company stated.

Especially for 3D - modeling in the environment of Revit the IBS company created a cloud platform which helps to visualize development process and in real time to see the events at all design stages, including - to control collisions and problem sections.

From the technical point of view the platform is cloud DPC with a HP server and the graphic GRID K2 card on which virtual computing powers are unrolled. On their basis the uniform 3D model in which all engineers participating in the project including subcontract organizations can work at the same time is created.

Project Results

Creation of the platform for 3D - design – the reply of IBS to a modern request of the industry. BIM standards in construction are already implemented at the state level and in the next years will become an obligatory rule both in state, and in commercial projects. It is very positive trend, use of BIM technologies brings quality of all stages of construction to new level, considerably reducing quantity of collisions and increasing project value assessment accuracy. The successful project of modeling of the power center for DataPro company became one of the first cases 3D - design of the engineering systems of DPC in a cloud in the Russian practice.
