The project of safe transfer of confidential information in network of drugstores "Doctor Stoletov"

The LETA company announced in May, 2011 project completion on creation of a system of safe transfer of confidential information within network of drugstores of Doktor Stoletov (Erkafarm Ltd).

As the technical solution selected for creation of a system products of StoneSoft corporation, one of the leading developers of technical means of protection in the field of ensuring complex network security and business continuity were used.

The implemented system already is in commercial operation.

The company was faced by a problem of creation of a system of ensuring safe exchange of confidential information between the business units using the Internet. Feature of the project was that business units are territorially located in different regions of the Russian Federation.

To a system the company made a number of demands among which were:

• connectivity to a local network of the Company of remote users, from any personal computer;
• full-fledged remote control and monitoring of the functioning system;
• reliable system of firewalling;
• existence of an analysis system of detection of invasions;
• high fault tolerance and scaling option;
• support of digital certificates;
• existence of FSTEC certificates of Russia.

As a result, as the platform for creation of VPN network the solution on the basis of the product Stonesoft StoneGate FW/VPN certified by FSTEC of Russia as the most full conforming to functional requirements and the available network infrastructure was selected.

System implementation passed on the typified scheme repeatedly approved by LETA company in projects on implementation of the different IB technical means.

At the first stage specialists of LETA carried out the analysis of network, activity in the field of IT and cybersecurity and also the existing documents. The next stage was devoted to joint formation of technical specifications on the system of ensuring safe information exchange. The third stage – system implementation. On final, the fourth, a system passed the test program and was transferred to an operating mode.
