2020: Commvault HyperScale implementation
On January 21, 2021 the Commvault company, the software maker for data management in clouds and in corporate IT infrastructure, announced implementing solution and experience of its use in the state steel-making company in the UAE - Emirates Steel.
The sector of the real estate and construction violently develops in the UAE that led to increase in demand for steel which is produced by Emirates Steel company. Because of expansion of production in Emirates Steel amounts of data, however the software used for backup in the company earlier considerably increased, could not cope with the appeared workloads.
After Microsoft started in the UAE regional data center Azure, Emirates Steel began to use applications Microsoft 365. The solution Commvault for data protection was completely ready to implementation in the company SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Exchange Online.
When Microsoft opened in the UAE the data center of Azure, we passed to products of Microsoft which are a part of Microsoft 365 and are ready to use in a cloud, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Exchange Online. The solution Commvault was completely ready to backup for the products Microsoft 365 or Office 365. We implemented and transferred all our workloads to Commvault HyperScale. This solution provides all functionality in one box, including postdisaster recovery and orchestration of data, online synchronization of virtual servers and databases. I consider that Commvault HyperScale Technology is the solution 'all-water' with excellent scalability. Data recovery according to backup copies happens in our data center much quicker now. The solution Commvault works seamlessly. You can move seamlessly the data from internal with IT of infrastructure to a cloud or between clouds. Commvault also offers functionality for data protection.
