2023: InStock WMS Rollout
The company InStock Technologies on November 24, 2023 announced the completion of the warehouse automation project, Etreko-Service which is part of the SANTA group of companies. Etreko Service specializes in responsible storage services. One of the tasks InStock WMS in this project was to establish control over the flow of products of two aggressors - and. Savushkin product Russian Sea Food products in the warehouse have accounting features and high requirements are imposed on storage.
In order to effectively manage the response warehouse, customers must be provided with accurate invoices for the services provided. To do this, you need to use special software that will help you correctly calculate the cost of services for each adjuster. One of the tasks of implementing InStock WMS into the warehouse was to set up billing.
The warehouse of the company Etreko-Service, located in Balashikha, is equipped with front racks and freezers with a temperature of up to -18 C. When placing goods in the warehouse InStock WMS takes into account various factors, such as shelf life, production date, batch, article, temperature regime, restriction on the height of pallet and weight on the rack beam and others.
When receiving goods, maximum information is entered into the system, which allows you to speed up the further processing of goods and ensure traceability in the Mercury system. The InStock WMS project uses various acceptance management methods. One of them is crossdocking, when the goods are immediately selected for consumption orders after acceptance. This method is used if a consumption order is specified in the expected receipt document. Selection control from the warehouse side is also used. This applies when the system cannot reserve an item in stock for a specific order. After receiving the pallet by the receiver, the selector receives a task to select the necessary goods directly from the accepted pallet.
These methods save time and resources on the placement of goods and speed up shipping processes.
After closing the pallet, the system automatically selects the optimal storage bins for the article according to the established rules. Different placement rules have been applied for Savushkin Product and Russian Sea products. The warehouse is divided into a storage area, a sampling area and a finished order area and a shipping area. InStock WMS effectively organizes order selection based on customer requirements. You can select only certain batches with expiration date restrictions and other characteristics. If such rules are established, then goods that fully meet the specified conditions are included in the selection. To optimize the selection process, the InStock WMS system provides for the selection of goods first in pallets, then in boxes and, finally, in individual pieces.
At the shipping stage, the system controls the loading of pallets according to the flights. It sends tasks to warehouse employees, indicating which pallets should be taken for loading and from which bins, and also prohibits taking pallets of another flight. In addition, the system sorts the orders according to the loading priority specified on the flight.
InStock WMS eliminates loading errors and increases the speed of processes. As part of the project, the system manages the work with packages, including their picking and disassembly. Picking is the process of creating a new article from one or more articles, and understaffing is the reverse process. The system also moves the goods to or from a separate area for bundling, in case of de-picking. When working with kits, the system automatically generates labels for new goods or components and controls their printing.
Regular inventories are an important aspect of warehouse operations, and InStock WMS offers several options.
Inventory tasks can be created by the operator or generated automatically as a result of events that occur during warehouse work, such as inconsistencies or certain conditions. For example, an inventory can be performed for specific warehouse areas, merchandise groups, articles, pallets, and other parameters that can be locked or not locked. You can also set up planned physical counts. The planned inventory involves stopping the movement of goods in a warehouse or in a separate area. In this project, billing is also configured with the ability to configure a personal account for customers.
The system has entered a general list of services - a service library, as well as an algorithm for calculating each service individually for each customer of Etreko-Service.
Thanks to this automated process, we have achieved strict product accounting, which allows us to receive up-to-date reports on the availability of goods in stock at any time. Billing is set up with individual calculation of the cost of services and the ability to create personal accounts for Etreko-Service customers, this allows you to conveniently receive information about your orders and payments. Under the management of InStock WMS, the process of shipping goods from the warehouse is established, as well as accurate selection of products, taking into account all the details and specifics of the customer's requirements.
