Softline and Exactpro have completed a sandbox deployment project based on Amazon Web Services

2021: Sandbox Infrastructure for Amazon Web Services Testing Projects

On March 18, 2021, Softline announced that they had completed a joint project with Exactpro to create sandbox infrastructure for testing projects based on Amazon Web Services.

Exactpro had the task of managing the infrastructure for testing Amazon Web Services projects. This required that a separate sandbox be created for each test project. The task was further complicated by security requirements - the infrastructure of each of the test projects should be protected from unauthorized access and loss data as a result of compromising the password of the project administrator.

The Softline specialists prepared configuration settings for the project environment - as a result, the environment for each new project was automatically created with the necessary access settings and restrictions on the consumption of AWS services. Thanks to this, the speed of launching test projects on the AWS infrastructure was significantly improved, as well as the automated application of settings. An additional advantage was the ability to control the costs of cloud services for each individual project.

We were faced with the task of quickly deploying projects for testing in the AWS cloud. The Softline specialists quickly held consultations for us on the possibilities and practical aspects of using AWS services. After that, we jointly set up security and configuration policies at the very beginning of the project. This not only allowed us to avoid mistakes when starting the project, but, very importantly, we were able to automatically configure and control all subsequent projects, which saved us from significant costs, "said Yevgeny Vereshchagin, head of the IT department of Exactpro.
