Rostec will transfer documents of Rospatent to "digit"

2020: Trial operation of a management system and document storage

The Management systems company of Ruselectronics holding develops the unified information system of management and document storage for the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIIP). It is going to implement a system until the end of 2021. On August 4, 2020 Rostec reported about it.

This system will allow department to tsifrovizirovat completely management of documents on intellectual property items and storage of these data in electronic form. Development will also give the chance to exchange data with other systems implemented by Rospatent within the Digital Economy of Russia program.

A system will be unrolled in structure of FIPS. The data security will be ensured due to application of domestic hardware and software systems.

Fast development of technologies naturally leads to growth of information volumes, including in the field of intellectual property, and growth of number of cyberthreats imposes requirements to ensuring protection of such data. The developed system will allow to increase efficiency of information processing about the intellectual property rights taking into account increase in volumes of requests and also to create the reliable and safe system of its storage and ensuring integrity of information. System implementation is in full planned till the end of 2021, – the CEO of JSC Sistemy upravleniya Igor Karavayev noted.

Processes of creation and system implementation are separated into three queues – by types of intellectual property items. For the beginning of August, 2020 the first stage of the contract is complete – the architecture is designed, implementation of program components is executed, trial operation of a system regarding management of information storage according to requests for trademarks, names of places of goods origin and also the entering and outgoing correspondence is carried out.

Until the end of 2020 a system will include processes on storage of requests for inventions, useful models and industrial samples. In 2021 development by all other types of intellectual property items will be completed.
