2025: Road Infrastructure Plan
OTS Lab specialists will work out the road infrastructure for a quarter in the area of Evgenievskaya Street in the center of St. Petersburg. Analysis and generation of IT-based optimization solutions will prevent accidents and congestion. The company announced this on March 26, 2025.
OTS Lab specializes in research in the planning and optimization of transport systems and urban mobility concepts in Russian cities. The company began to use dynamic multi-agent modeling to optimize transport systems, which allows you to describe the movements of each resident of the city during the day.
| In the project of the residential complex "Evgenievsky" we pay special attention to the detailed development of transport infrastructure. Planning errors in this area can lead to serious consequences: residents every day will face loss of time and strength during movements, which directly affects the quality of life. This is not allowed for the de luxe segment, where there are exceptional comfort requirements. We turned to OTS Lab as a company in the field of transport planning in the Russian market with the task of assessing the convenience of using the transport infrastructure of the next quarter. It is also important for us to work out solutions that, in particular, will avoid possible queues at the entrance to the underground parking lot, optimize traffic inside it and increase the usability of the infrastructure, "said Denis Lola, director of strategic marketing at Formula City. |
The streets surrounding the block will become safe and comfortable for all traffic participants. Conditions on adjacent roads will be consistent with the concept of zero tolerance for deaths and severe injuries in road accidents - Vision Zero. They will "forgive" the mistakes of the participants in the movement and thereby will either avoid an accident or reduce its consequences.
| We use the open source program SUMO for micro-modeling transport flows. The micromodel makes it possible to see live what the load will be on the street and road network around the block, on leaving the parking lot. See where queues and traffic congestion can form. If the results of micro-modeling show that there is a risk of queuing, we will offer events that will avoid queues in reality, "said Ivan Pechkurov, OTS Lab project manager. |
