USA Cars from Einride classified as autonomous electric transport were introduced in four different models
Einride has been operating on the international market since 2019, but for the first time will bring its autonomous capsules in the United States to a territory of 303 hectares on the GE Appliance Park campus in Louisville. The company also provides GE with electric vehicles at plants in Tennessee and Georgia. Executives at both businesses said the partnership would save GE 970 tons of CO2 emissions by early April 2021.

Einride CEO Robert Falk said the partnership is an important milestone for the U.S. freight industry. Einride and GE reported that they received project approval from the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and engineers from both companies are working to address flaws during pilot tests in Louisville. Modules move between buildings on the GE campus, and security managers for both companies monitor the safety of autonomous vehicles. If necessary, the modules can be remotely controlled by engineers working on a remote workstation on campus.
Einride claims that research commissioned by it showed that respondents would be more interested in becoming truck drivers if they could do it remotely. The study also showed that people would be more interested in this industry if they could avoid an abnormal working day and long-distance trips that take them far from home. By 2025, Einride plans to occupy 20% of the automotive freight market in Sweden.
The truck is equipped with a fully electric power plant powered by a 200 kVt⋅ch battery pack, which allows you to travel without recharging up to 200 km, and for the T-pod model there is the possibility of both fully automatic and remote control of the vehicle. The length of the car is 7 meters, and the carrying capacity is 20 tons.[1]
