2025: TopLog WMS Implementation

TOPLOG automated the warehouse management of GazStroyInvest. Toplog announced this on November 5, 2025.

The introduction of the WMS system helped to increase the efficiency of logistics operations, ensure accurate accounting of the remaining cut-off goods, and integrate the work of the warehouse with marketplaces.

GazStroyInvest is a company specializing in the design, installation and maintenance of engineering systems. The company performs work in the field of gas supply, heating, heat supply, water supply, drainage, ventilation and air conditioning - from design and coordination to installation and service. The company supplies equipment and components from leading manufacturers: boilers, pumps, tanks, pipes and fittings, providing customers with reliable and energy-efficient turnkey solutions. An important area is retail sales of equipment and components through marketplaces, which allows you to reach customers throughout Russia.

The company has a network of warehouses distributed throughout the Republic of Bashkortostan. With intensive warehouse operations, it is important to ensure accurate accounting of goods, control of balances, personnel work and transparency of all processes. The lack of automated management limited logistics capabilities and hindered business development. To improve the efficiency of warehouse logistics, GazStroyInvest management decided to introduce the modern Russian WMS TopLog. The launch of the new system and the training of personnel to work with it was entrusted to the design team of the developer.

The pilot project for the implementation of WMS was implemented at the company's central warehouse located in the Ufa district of the Republic of Bashkortostan. This is a warehouse complex with an area of 6000 m ², designed for 4,500 pallets. The warehouse's infrastructure includes mezzanine, front racks, double depth racks, and an outdoor floor and stack storage area. More than 45,000 SKUs are stored in the warehouse, of which about 7,000 are active items. The assortment is represented by small-scale products, as well as pipes and large-sized goods.

With the help of TopLog WMS, warehouse operations are automated in all areas and at all stages of cargo processing. At acceptance, the storekeeper using the shipping documentation identifies the goods, accepts by quantity and quality. If a set in the form of a multi-seat product is accepted, the number of parts is indicated, a unique label is formed for each part. If a cable product is accepted, the length of the received cable is indicated after selecting the type of drum. Based on the received information about the product, WMS determines where to place it for storage. The warehouse can now accept goods deliveries without prior distribution to orders or customers.

The TopLog system takes into account a large set of criteria for placement in the warehouse - status, accounting group, quality, IHC, commodity neighborhood and other characteristics, so that each product is in the area where it will be most conveniently located. WMS manages consignments of goods, including production date and expiration date. This ensures accurate accounting, prevents re-sorting, and allows you to apply FEFO/FIFO principles to shipping.

On the TopLog outbound flow, WMS fully controls the picking and shipping processes - the system analyzes what is collected for and for whom, and on the basis of this forms waves of order processing for various directions and types of shipments. Serial numbers are registered in the system - the shipment of each single device is tracked, which facilitates warranty service. WMS allows you to start the assembly of goods on orders in advance, even if shipping routes have not yet been defined. For cut-off goods, the length of the cut or a specific number of coils is indicated. When working with e-com orders, the label of the marketplace cargo item is printed from the system.

The implemented WMS allows partial inventory of residues for individual zones or product categories. This is convenient because it does not require a complete shutdown of the warehouse.

The receipt and shipment orders are automatically sent to WMS via integration channels. The system exchanges data with the corporate ERP "1C: Trade Management" and the IAPAP transport management system (TMS) via the TopLog API.

The introduction of TopLog WMS made it possible to turn the warehouse's previous shortcomings into its strengths. As of November 2025, work depends less on the "unique" knowledge of personnel - the system minimizes the impact of the human factor on the quality of cargo processing. The order in the warehouse has become transparent: WMS shows what is stored and where, excluding the "black box" effect. Errors and overhauls are minimized, and the speed and quality of cargo handling have increased markedly. Accurate balances are now available in real time, and the current performance of the WMS system is sufficient to ensure warehouse operation even during the peak season, ensuring process stability and timely execution of all operations.

The company's plans include a large-scale development of logistics by replicating the WMS system to remote warehouses independently or with minimal technical support from the integrator, automation of 3PL services with the introduction of a billing module and integration with counterparties through the TopLog Portal logistics portal system.
