The government the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic starts operation of new data center

The Microtest company constructed DPC for Regional command center IT infrastructure (RTsU) of the electronic government of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic, the company reported on February 28, 2013.

Start

The powerful DPC capable to consolidate information resources of public authorities of Yakutia is necessary for RTsU as key IT structure of the regional electronic government, to provide storage and processing of large volume of data, to guarantee their security.

Background

The created data center of RTsU, according to partners of the project, will become IT core of the electronic government of the region: it will allow to provide interdepartmental interaction of the public and municipal authorities of the region and also to simplify the procedure of a citizens' appeal and business to the power and to provide to the population electronic state services.

Within the project are executed:

• Project development of a construction part, creation engineering and IT infrastructures of future DPC;

Construction preparation of the premises selected under DPC:

• internal re-planning;
• transfer of transit communications;
• accomplishment of electromagnetic shielding of premises.
• Complex supply of equipment and materials;

Installation and commissioning of a complex of the engineering systems:

• conditioning and ventilation;
• power supply and lighting;
• structured cabling system;
• fire extinguishing;
• fire and security alarm;
• control and access control;
• video surveillances;
• monitoring of a microclimate.

Result

For February 28, 2013 the new DPC provides information exchange about 4 thousand government employees working in 72 organizations of Yakutia which are included in a single network of data transmission of public authorities of the region.

"Possibilities of data center allow to collect and analyze information on activity of the main structures of the state and municipal authority of Yakutia. It is necessary as the authorities - for increase in effective management of development of the region, - and to the population which receives state services in an online interaction format now", - Ivan Krivoshapkin, the first deputy director of the Center of informatization of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic noted.
