2025: Ideco NGFW Implementation
The administration of the Head and Government of the Chechen Republic switched to Russian products in cybersecurity.
Recently, state and commercial companies in the region have increasingly chosen domestic products in the field of information and cybersecurity. This was reported by the press service of the company "Tredit," which was engaged in the implementation of the solution in the IT infrastructure of the Administration of the Head and Government of the Chechen Republic together with its structural unit, the department of workflow management, information technology and technical information protection.
The main goal of the project was import substitution, that is, the transition to independent domestic products in the field of cybersecurity. This made it possible to ensure compliance with safety requirements and receive stable technical support from the Russian vendor. Domestic solutions, such as Ideco, demonstrate maturity and readiness for serious tasks here and now, "explained Anzor Suleimanov, CEO of Tredit. |
Prior to the transition, an outdated foreign solution was used, the support of which was discontinued due to sanctions and the departure of foreign companies from the Russian market. In addition, the existing system was distinguished by complex management, requiring high personnel qualifications.
The Ideco NGFW implementation process was structured in three stages:
- Testing - checking the solution for compliance with information security requirements and technical compatibility.
- Pre-production - installation on a limited part of the infrastructure and testing in combat conditions.
- Complete transition - migrate the entire system to Ideco NGFW and put the solution into commercial operation.
The total duration of the project was three months. Despite the tight deadlines and high requirements for fault tolerance, the transition was successful. This was also facilitated by the well-coordinated work of the department's team of specialists with special technological competencies in the implementation of information technologies.
{{quote 'Ideco turned out to be a really good choice. In our Administration, in 2025, the technical support of the previous decision was completed, and it was necessary to urgently close security issues. The most important result was reliable perimeter protection - the system for preventing and blocking attacks played a key role.
Separately, I would like to note the coordinated work of Ideco technical support. Even at the testing stage, the specialists worked with us as if the contract had already been concluded. Any questions - even the most tricky ones - we received prompt and detailed answers. There have been times when the problems were not in NGFW, but in our internal infrastructure - the Ideco team connected remotely and helped fix them. For the sake of such support, it was really worth choosing this decision.
In terms of functionality, Ideco is not very different from other analogues, but it significantly wins in convenience and speed of operation. Changes in security policy are applied instantly, without delay and waiting, as was the case in previous systems. This is critical to our operational activities. We plan to extend the contract for the next year, "said the curator of IT projects of the Administration, Deputy Director of the Department S. H. Almurzaev.}}
We see that in the current conditions, Russian companies are increasingly focusing on domestic solutions in the field of cybersecurity. Thank you to Tredit for implementing Ideco NGFW. This project demonstrates that the transition to domestic solutions can be fast and effective, ensuring a high level of security and compliance with regulatory requirements, - said Ideco Director Dmitry Khomutov. |
