2020: Creation of disaster-proof regional DPC

On February 19, 2020 it became known that Depo computers constructed disaster-proof regional DPC in the Kaliningrad region. The solution of Depo computers is from two identical hardware and software systems. Each complex is unrolled on one of two platforms of the customer. For communication the high-speed link of optic communication from speed of 400 GB/page is used.

The HSS of DEPOT includes the servers, storage systems, switches, uninterruptible power supply units mounted in telecommunication cabinets 42U high. In a hardware and software system of DEPO the Russian components and the domestic software are used.

In the solution of DEPO the most modern technologies are used: high-speed internal switching of 100 GB / with, All-Flash storage systems, an intelligent system of distribution of power supply, the built-in system of monitoring and control of the equipment HSS of DEPO.

The Kaliningrad region is the Russia's first region which constructed a regional data processing center based on technology of geographically distributed computing. Thanks to the advanced technologies put in the solution, the regional geodistributed computing cluster will not demand serious upgrade within 10 years.

In regional public authorities electronic document management actively is implemented, implementation of digital technologies on large enterprises is carried out, the list of the services provided to inhabitants and the business organizations of the Kaliningrad region in electronic form extends. The government of the Kaliningrad region implements a course towards digitalization of the region. Strategy of digital development of the Kaliningrad region which important part was a decision on consolidation all of regional information resources in uniform infrastructure is developed. The reference regional data processing center based on which it is possible to solve effectively problems of digitalization in the field of public administration and to optimize use of the budget of the region will allow to create the solution of this task.

Information systems of the region should work in mode 24х7. For ensuring high availability of services the option of geographically distributed computing cluster with placement of the equipment on two platforms was selected. At emergence of force majeur situations on one of platforms, all information systems "rise" on the second platform without data loss.

Thanks to modern architecture and use of the innovative digital technologies, the HSS of DEPOT represents the ready platform for fast deployment of information systems within implementation of the national project "Digital Economy". Besides, the HSS of DEPOT is suitable for deployment of solutions in the field of Internet of Things (IoT), such as management systems for transport, intellectual video surveillance, smart housing and public utilities, etc.
