The government of the Republic of Karelia implements a video surveillance system behind a status of fire safety of the woods

The company "TsKT "SOFTMAK" installed the system of the round-the-clock remote monitoring of wildfires on the basis of a video surveillance system with computer vision of Orwell 2k in the territory of the Republic of Karelia.

Solution and parts

A system consists of 19 nodes of monitoring – the managed high-speed dome cameras installed on towers of mobile operator and 16 local monitoring centers to which information from video cameras on the 3G-channel comes. Now a system works in the test mode.

As the detector of ignition and smoke the rotary video camera executing monitoring of sections of the territory in the automatic and manual modes is used. Use of algorithms video software analysts (software) of Orwell 2k allows a system in real time, in the automatic mode to detect ignitions and to notify on it the operator of a system.

The monitoring system of wildfires functions in a standby mode automatically, without operator intervention. If necessary the manual mode at which the operator can change orientation of the selected camera on targeting on the interactive map is available.

Expectations

System implementation of the round-the-clock remote monitoring of wildfires on the basis of the Video surveillance system with computer vision of Orwell 2k will allow to react quickly to emergence of the fires and will significantly reduce risk of occurrence of extreme situations in a forest band in the territory of the Republic of Karelia.

Result

The video surveillance system with computer vision of Orwell 2k helps to detect at an early stage and to react quickly to the centers of zadymleniye and ignitions in forests.
