2025: Start of a project to comprehensively treat hogweed-infected areas
The Forestry and Agriculture Analytical Center (ACLSH, part of the ITFB Group) has begun a project to comprehensively treat hogweed-infected areas in the Yaroslavl Region. Work is being carried out within the framework of the regional program to combat Sosnovsky hogweed, which started with the onset of the active phase of plant growth. ITFB Group announced this on June 17, 2025.
The ACLSH project covers municipal sites and includes the use of modern chemical methods to combat dangerous weeds. One of the key changes of the season was the use of agrodrons for spot spraying of drugs, which significantly increases the efficiency and safety of processing.
| Since the active growth of grass, a campaign has been launched to destroy the Sosnovsky hogweed. Specialists use three processing methods: chemical, mechanical and mixed. 57.5 million rubles have been allocated for the fight against hogweed. 1,500 hectares of infected areas have already been processed, and in total their area is more than 6,200 hectares. We use unmanned aerial vehicle systems for monitoring, and this season we use agricultural drones for spraying drugs for the first time. We will evaluate the effectiveness of the processing method in the near future, - said Mikhail Evraev, Governor of the Yaroslavl Region. |
The growing activity of land owners, the increasing public demand for a clean and safe environment, as well as the system of administrative fines form a new culture of attitude towards land and responsibility for its condition. The ATLC project has become an important part of this change and an example of the interaction of business and the region in the interests of people.
{{quote 'Hogweed is not just an aesthetic or agricultural problem, it is a real threat to human health, biodiversity and soil fertility. We see the fight against it as an infrastructure task that requires a technological approach. We use agricultural drones on a large scale - this is an economical, accurate and environmentally verified solution, "said Ivan Petrov, Managing Partner of ACLSH.}}
