2023: Porting Production Processes to Domestic Digital Platform

HaloPolymer Kirovo-Chepetsk"" - a branch of one of the largest chemical enterprises in - Russia completed the implementation of a project to optimize technological processes. IT The partner of the project was the company K2Teh together with the vendor. CyberPhysics This was announced on December 20, 2023 by the company K2 Tech.

According to the company, the inclusion of the Russian platform for predictive analytics and management of the technical condition of CyberStudio equipment in the production cycle of the chemical enterprise will increase the volume of methylene chloride production without attracting additional resources or reconfiguring the equipment. During the design work, the production of HaloPolymer Kirovo-Chepetsk was transferred to an import-independent solution while maintaining the continuity of all critical business processes. All work was carried out by specialists K2Tex and CyberPhysics in a short time - in just three months.

Holding HaloPolymer"" is one of the largest manufacturers of fluoropolymer products, as well as organochlorine compounds, widely used in many industries. industries The company had a task increase the volume of production of methylene chloride in demand for 2023 on the industrial solvent market at the HaloPolymer Kirovo-Chepetsk enterprise. To do this, it was necessary to optimize the production process of this substance and increase the accuracy of predicting its production. The solution was the CyberStudio product - a platform for predictive analytics and management of the technical condition of the equipment of the Russian vendor CyberPhysics. Due to the optimization of technological processes at the enterprise, it became possible to significantly increase the volume of methylene chloride production without attracting additional resources.

Optimizing production processes through the use of digital technologies is one of our key priorities. We are actively developing in this direction, as we are interested in effective business. The solution proposed by IT specialists K2Tex and CyberPhysics allowed us to optimize the quantity and quality of methylene chloride production. At the same time, our choice in favor of the product of the domestic vendor excluded the risks that appeared in connection with the withdrawal of Western vendors from the market.

During the project, the joint team of K2Tekh and CyberPhysics worked in close conjunction with the employees of the HaloPolymer Kirovo-Chepetsk enterprise. Experts analyzed data from the main nodes of the methane chlorination production line. Based on the analysis carried out, a surrogate optimization model was built on the basis of the CyberStudio platform - a simplified representation of a complex system or process that can be used for quick and effective modeling, optimization or other analyzes in production. It was created on the basis of a neural network with the participation of technologists and engineers of the enterprise. For her training, historical data were used on more than 130 technological parameters affecting the production of organochlorine compounds - temperature in distillation columns and reactor, methane and chlorine consumption, recycling consumption, reactor pressure, columns and others.

The model trained on the historical data of the chemical enterprise compares the actual indicators in the digital platform with the standard values of the parameters described by the model, at which the maximum volume of product production is achieved. As a result, in real time, the model monitors signals and gives operators recommendations for adjusting 9 controlled parameters: chloromethane pressure, recycle temperature, gas flow rate in the GRPSh2 (gas control room), chlorine temperature, reactor temperature, methane flow rate, steam flow to the heat exchanger, column flow rate, recycle pressure.

The project with the HaloPolymer Kirovo-Chepetsk enterprise to optimize such a complex process in chemical production as the production of methylene chloride using predictive analytics is an example of the fact that in terms of efficiency and reliability, domestic digital technologies are not inferior to foreign ones. Industrial companies are increasingly using breakthrough technologies in the production unit due to the emergence of successful cases for the implementation of such projects. Customers face the challenge of ensuring technological sustainability and import independence while maintaining the continuity of critical business processes.
