2020: Reduction of risk of idle time of information resources
On June 17, 2020 the HENDERSON company reported that it reduced to a minimum idle time of the information resources thanks to the solutions "Akronis ITProtect".
According to the company, the idle times caused by incidents in IT infrastructure can lead both to loss of a customer loyalty and partners, and to the direct losses connected with failure from purchases of visitors of shops. Therefore one of the most important tasks of IT department of HENDERSON is reduction to a minimum of idle times of computers and servers of the company.
We should protect each separate node of information infrastructure: in the company the virtual resources selected under a specific objective are actively used. Even short-term idle time can negatively affect work of a chain of the interconnected links, at the same time those from them which provide customer service are most critical. Therefore any employee of our company demands permission of the arising incidents as soon as possible. It allows to plan purchase costs of products on time and to optimize investments into development of infrastructure. Before implementation "Acronis Data protection" reservation of information at workstations of users of HENDERSON was not performed. In the initial choice specialists of the company relied on reputation of the solutions presented at the market.
Before acquisition in HENDERSON unrolled trial versions "Acronis Data protection". Results of their use met expectations of the customer. Among advantages in HENDERSON select ease of use of the solution, its availability on mobile devices and work speed.
Simplicity "Acronis Data protection" allowed specialists of the customer to perform the project on its deployment by own efforts. Project implementation occupied one working day. The staff of IT department of HENDERSON started the virtual machine, set the solution, configured user rights and checked availability "Acronis Data protection" via the web interface. After that it was necessary only to connect the data warehouse, to set the list of nodes of infrastructure, necessary for reservation, and the backup schedule.
Among advantages "Acronis Data protection" specialists of HENDERSON note also that circumstance that work with it does not require special training.
Computers in the company work constantly and failures of the hardware are inevitable and quite often there are failures of solid state drives of data. Vyacheslav Zakariyev cites as an example an incident with the computer of the chief accountant of the company on which settings of 1C systems and crypto - keys are placed. Thanks to "Data protection" its recovery took with Acronis 20 minutes that allowed to avoid the losses connected with unavailability of information systems, key for financial department.
Faced the same problem also in department of marketing of HENDERSON. Here failed the SSD computer of the designer of the company. It managed "be returned to too to life" quicker than in 30 minutes while standard recovery of such workstation, with the OS installation, a necessary application package, setup of graphic programs and color calibration borrows till 4-5 o'clock.

Work of our department in general, whether it be department of programming, system administration or technical support is estimated at the companies. Therefore any idle time of systems or long working off of an incident negatively affect overall assessment of quality of work of all division. HENDERSON are going to expand use of the solutions "Akronis of ITProtect". Having convinced of their working qualities, specialists of the company intend to bring number of the protected workstations to fifty. Besides, job enrichment for "Acronis Data protection" is necessary. As noted in HENDERSON, the solution of other company which is used for reservation of server copies of data so far, does not satisfy the company because of the low speed of work.

As of August, 2020 the solution works on 30 workstations of the customer and protects data arrays from 80 to 100 Gbytes in size. Based on project implementation in Henderson are going to continue cooperation with Softline and to expand use of the solutions "Akronis of ITProtect" for data protection: specialists of the company intend to bring number of the protected workstations to 50. Besides, it is necessary to increase a range of the tasks solved by an installed system.
