Content

The company "Euroset" also «Hitachi Data Systems» completed the complex project of creation of the superreliable platform on the basis of disk arrays USP-V and VSP.

Implementation

The Hitachi Data Systems company acted as the supplier of the project.

In the history

Until now the Euroset company worked at SAP ERP system 2005 of Retail ECC 6.0 implemented in May, 2011. from the financial consolidation strengthened by a system on the basis of Oracle Hyperion Financial Management.

Solution

As a result of project implementation the new reliable platform for storage of a virtual server framework on the basis of two VSP disk arrays is built and also the highly reliable and productive storage system for the environment of SAP on the basis of two USP-V disk arrays is implemented.

Details

Among key advantages of this solution there is a minimizing response time of applications, performance improvement of the applied systems, simplification of administration system. Use of Thin Provisioning technologies and virtualization allowed to reduce the number of devices by a host server. Besides, the complete solution on copying of these productive systems between two data processing centers was implemented. It will allow to reduce risks of accidents in case of force majeur circumstances and will give the chance of applications launch of SAP on a fallback resource without data loss and with the minimum downtime of services.

According to Yury Skachkov, the Chief representative of Hitachi Data Systems in the Russia/the CIS countries: "For us it was the Russia's first project for the company of such scale as Euroset. Really great job of which we by right are proud was done. Further we intend to continue to improve this project, including to increase functionality of already available systems regarding use of technology of runtime allocation of the addresses to them (Hitachi Dynamic Tiering) given at the level of blocks depending on intensity and the mechanism of expanded monitoring of performance of infrastructure and the reporting of Hitachi Tuning Manager".
