RuSat selects a system Jupiter Hughes for provision of services of satellite broadband access from Russia

In June, 2017 Hughes Network Systems company, the solution provider and services in the field of the broadband satellite systems, signed the contract with the Russian universal operator of satellite communication RuSat, on delivery of a system of satellite broadband access (broadband access) of new generation Jupiter (JUPITER) of the DVB-S2X standard.

The choice of the Russian operator caused delivery of the first VSAT system of the DVB-S2X standard to the Russian market. A system Jupiter will allow RuSat company to provide the maximum capacity and efficiency of use of bandwidth that will expand possibilities of the operator on provision of services of satellite broadband access to corporate and private clients across all Russia.

"Ensuring the maximum capacity at minimization of the consumed bandwidth is a priority task when rendering services in all segments as such approach provides a high-quality combination and cost efficiency of solutions which we propose to our clients. A system Jupiter will provide us the highest level of efficiency of use of bandwidth in the market today", - the CEO of RuSat LLC [Alymov Sergey] told].

Thanks to support of the DVB-S2X standard and other new features, a system Jupiter, being one of the most widely used systems of satellite broadband access in the world, increases cost efficiency of operators due to increase in the capacity available to provision of services to users. The system of new generation Jupiter with a line of the user terminals performed on dedicated integrated microcircuits of the second generation of SoC-2 completely supports the DVB-S2X standard.
