Sooner or later the company which is engaged in wholesale and retail trade, having even the small warehouse faces problems of accounting and management in a warehouse. The range of the company increases, the number of shipments and a goods turnover grows, and together with them also regrading, discontent of clients from underdeliveries, errors, low service rate grows...

Meanwhile information systems which are used at the enterprises of wholesale and retail trade perfectly cope with tasks of management of trade purchasing activity and the organizations of operational accounting. But they cannot qualitatively resolve issues of the organization of effective work of warehouse divisions of the company, the necessary functionality in them simply is absent. Use of the WMS systems with broad functionality for automation of activity of small warehouse divisions is also not possible - too costly.

How it is possible to solve a problem of automation of small warehouse division, using information system DOMINOES 8: Trading house.

The Autentika company addressed us at the end of 2010. The company is engaged in wholesale in professional cosmetics in beauty shops, specialized shops, hairdressing salons. The warehouse of the company represents the small premises about 500 sq.m on which about 5000 names of the released products were stored. In the main weight it is the small-pieces goods of mainly foreign production which are difficult distinguished on appearance of packaging owing to what in the course of acceptance and shipment of goods the personnel constantly faced difficulties with its identification.

As a result the company management of Autentik made the decision on implementation of the information system allowing to automate all key business processes of warehouse division. First of all, the automation system had to solve the following problems:

  • 1. Creation of address storage of products which are available in a warehouse
  • 2. Increase in efficiency of work of personnel on the main transactions - to shipment, acceptance, distribution, movement of goods
  • 3. Optimization of the range - reduction of excesses and arrangement of a commodity remaining balance

Having considered the solutions presented at the market, specialists of Autentika stopped the choice on a management system of DOMINO 8: The trading house as it completely meets qualifying standards and represents the most optimal ratio at the price quality. DOMINOES 8: The trading house allows to manage activity of the trade enterprises having a warehouse of address storage, controlling all key business processes:

In the course of implementation spetsilist of SOFT-WEST company optimized storage system, having separated a warehouse into zones - storages, selection of orders and acceptance, shipment. The storage area was broken into cells which were marked by barcodes and are entered in the database of DOMINOES system 8: Trading house.

For effective use of technology of barcoding on warehouse workers were equipped with Motorola MC3090 data collection terminals, in a warehouse Wi Fi was set.

At the moment all process of goods acceptance, its placement and storage, and also further shipment, is completely automated and is controlled from the central office. And the organized system of address storage allows to define accurately the positions which "hung up" on a remaining balance and to control goods expiration dates.

At shipment of goods a system allows to collect once several orders and already in a zone of shipment to distribute it on batches.

At the same time a system completely excludes influence of a human factor that affects quality of collected orders - regrading and other errors when forming the order is excluded. Besides, the problem with indispensability of the warehouse manager is solved - at the moment on an object people can work with smaller qualification. Personnel labor productivity at the same time remains at the high level.

As a result of system implementation, significant increase in efficiency of a warehouse due to use of the principle of dynamic placement was reached. DOMINOES system 8: The trading house allows to define the most suitable location of goods, depending on a number of factors: storage lives, its dimensional characteristics, demand of goods (division on groups A, B, C).

In addition to address storage, the task of equipment of sales representatives of Autentika company by mobile workstations was set for Software Vest company. As such stations the customer uses tablet iPad terminals of Apple company. It allows sales representatives to create quickly orders in base of the central office, using technologies of remote access.

For the central office in DOMINO 8: The trading house was integrated the add-on module allowing to hold the training seminars in the company. The module comprises elements of the CRM system and allows to fix a number of data on the persons which came to a seminar, date and time of a seminar, its subject, and also result. On the basis of these data in Autentika company the mute of seminars and the history of communication with clients is conducted.

As a result of system implementation of management of DOMINO 8: Trading house the Autentika company received effectively working solution which allows:

  • optimize warehouse spaces;
  • increase the accuracy of accounting of goods;
  • optimize time of carrying out all warehouse transactions;
  • reduce goods storage costs in a warehouse;
  • reduce the losses connected with regrading and expiration dates of goods;

One more of important advantages of the project is its budget. The cost of complex automation of a warehouse taking into account the cost of information system DOMINOES 8: Trading house and the add-on module of seminars, the equipment (servers, data collection terminals, the Wi-fi organizations), works on system deployment in the customer's warehouse, to personnel training made about 2 million rubles.
