In early June 2025, it became known that the purchase software of about ₽0,5 billion was planned by the Federal State Budgetary Institution. " Roskadastre The corresponding tender was placed on the official public procurement platform on May 30, 2025. As part of the procedure, it is planned to purchase licenses for the Russian operating system, Astra Linux Special Edition as well as RuPost the Enterprise CA mail server.

As CNews found out, applications for participation in the competition are accepted until June 16, 2025. The results of the tender will be announced on June 18. The specific purpose of the procurement is not specified in the tender documents.

Roskadastre buys Astra Linux licenses for ₽0,5 billion

The main subject of the purchase is services for the transfer of licenses for the special-purpose operating system "Astra Linux Special Edition" version 1.7 of enhanced protection with the "Voronezh" level. The system is certified by the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control of Russia.

The total requirement includes five types of licenses. Roskadastre plans to purchase 2,426 server licenses for virtual servers and 4,393 client licenses for workstations, including the ALD Pro complex.

ALD Pro is a Russian catalog service for Linux operating systems. 12372 additional ALD Pro licenses are required to enter into the domain. It also provides for the purchase of 63 server licenses of the unified directory service.

The largest part of the purchase is 23,906 client licenses for the RuPost Enterprise CAL mail system. All licenses must be granted indefinitely and include 12 months of updates and technical support.

The documents highlight the critical importance of embedded certified protections. The system shall provide access control, authentication, integrity control and audit of security events. It also provides protection against unauthorized launch of programs and writing to system files.[1]
