Rosseti introduces Russian DBMS Tantor for ₽712,7 million

Rosseti"" purchase licenses for Russian database management system Tantor for a total of ₽712,7 million. The corresponding tender for the purchase of licenses was published on the public procurement portal on June 3, 2025.

According to CNews with reference to the materials of the competition, applications for participation in it are accepted until June 19, 2025. The selection of the supplier will take place on July 8, 2025. The transfer of rights to use software products is scheduled for the period from December 1 to December 30, 2025.

Rosseti intends to purchase 1,682 licenses of the Tantor DBMS of three different editions: Special Edition, Certified and Certified IC. Each license grants the right to use the DBMS on one physical or virtual server core with x86-64 architecture.

The purchase condition is the inclusion of type 1 updates for the first 12 months and an electronic method of transferring rights for the duration of the exclusive right. All editions are equipped with a built-in modular platform "Tantor" for full-featured administration and monitoring of PostgreSQL clusters.

The key requirement of the terms of reference is the mandatory registration of the supplied software in the Unified Register of Russian Programs for Electronic Computers and Databases. At the time of delivery, this fact must be confirmed by an official extract from the register.

The Rosseti Group is one of the largest power grid holdings in the world. The company provides power to consumers in 82 regions of Russia. The holding manages 2.5 million km of power lines and electrical substations with a total capacity of 877 thousand megavolts-amperes.

More than 80% of all electricity generated in Russia is transmitted through the networks of the Rosseti group. The group includes 45 subsidiaries and affiliates, including 19 distribution network companies. The total number of personnel is about 235 thousand people.
