2025: InStock WMS Implementation
The InStock WMS system has been implemented in the AutoArt warehouse. This was announced on April 16, 2025 by InStock Technologies.
According to the company, a distinctive feature of spare parts warehouses is a large assortment, complex small-scale selection, the presence of heterogeneous, including oversized goods. Each warehouse has its own characteristics of commodity movement and warehouse operations.
Before implementation, InStock Technologies specialists conducted a business analysis of processes in the warehouse and proposed an optimization solution. The Avtopart warehouse consists of several hangars, each containing a sampling storage area and a ready-to-order area. A separate hangar is allocated for the acceptance, shipment and storage of oversized material. To optimize processing and storage, all goods are divided into several product groups, each group has its own storage area. When goods are received, the system determines which merchandise category the products belong to. Several types of acceptance are used in the project. This project also uses the business process of classical cross-docking.
Cross-docking scheme allows you to avoid unnecessary operations of placement in the warehouse and selection from the warehouse. After acceptance, the system automatically determines the storage bin in the corresponding storage area according to the storage rules. InStock WMS receives a list of orders from the accounting system. The operator launches orders into a wave. Orders may be selected using the Total Order method or the Order Selection method for certain counterparties. All selected orders are subject to mandatory control. InStock WMS controls the monitoring process, as a result, errors are minimized. During the shipping process, the System sorts the orders according to the loading priority specified on the flight and issues the pallets jobs as ordered.
As a result of InStock WMS implementation in Avtopart's warehouse, accounting has been established, storage and movement of goods has been optimized, and the processes of assembly of orders and shipment have been accelerated.
