Since the beginning of 2022, the Moscow manufacturer Montem has supplied 150 thousand square meters of nonwoven materials for the manufacture of outer wings of MS-21 aircraft. This was announced on November 2, 2022 by the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow, which is part of the Complex of Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations of the capital, Vladislav Ovchinsky.

The passenger airliner MS-21 developed by specialists of the capital's engineering center named after A.S. Yakovlev.

The use of domestic developments has become an important factor in production in a number of industries, including aircraft manufacturing. Current circumstances require that Russian equipment consist mostly of its own components and raw materials. Since the beginning of the year alone, the Moscow company has shipped 150 thousand square meters of drainage and absorbent materials to create aircraft wings, MS-21 said Vladislav Ovchinsky.

We launched the drainage material in 2018. It took a couple of years to test and implement, and in 2021 we reached an industrial scale. We are confident that this development will help replace foreign analogues, - said Elena Kapitanova, General Director of Montem JSC.
