2023: Implementation of "1C:MDM Regulatory Reference Information Management"

The team IT-integrator First Bit"" announced on May 10, 2023 about the introduction of 1C-based NSI unified control system laboratories in the network, KDL as well as its integration with local: information systems": 1C Lab" and. CRM It is also planned to configure integration with third-party systems - SITE, Home Visits and Laport.

KDL is an independent network of medical laboratories and offices in Russia. As part of the First Bit project, he developed and implemented a unified regulatory reference information management system, which reduced labor costs and increased order processing speed by 20%. The main difficulty was that the main divisions of the company worked in different programs according to the same manufactured nomenclature. Data in price lists was summarized using Excel, and information about changes had to be made manually. The lack of a centralized database was the main reason for the start of the project for the implementation of the 1C:MDM Management of Regulatory Reference Information solution. The second reason can be called a decrease in the administrative burden on doctors and laboratory specialists.

The implemented MDM system has become a centralized system for storing regulatory reference information on medical tests and test kits. This facilitated the work of laboratory employees, specialists involved in the site, and simplified the process of providing up-to-date information to clients on services and analyzes, of which there are more than 300 species in the laboratory for various medical parameters and indicators. The reference book was based on data from "1C: Lab," which were supplemented with data from other information systems and Excel tables.

As a result of the project implementation, the nomenclature data were combined into a single information space, and a special NSI department for technical support appeared in the company. The main results also include the development and approval of a clear procedure and methodology for maintaining reference books, automation of manual data entry, as well as training users to work in the system, configure it and develop it.

Thanks to the joint efforts of colleagues and specialists of the First Bit, the Sports office, KDL has implemented a "1C: MDM" solution that can consolidate the regulatory reference base. Now the KDL network has a single information system where each employee can find the necessary information and track the history of its changes. The lab automated three major reference books - "Tests," "Test Kits" and "Services," as well as more than 60 ancillary reference books on services and medical tests and accelerated the processing of orders by 20%.
told Aleksei Goncharov, head of the information systems development department of the federal network of medical laboratories KDL.

The list of IT systems, diagnostic equipment and data clearly shows the client. This project made it possible to make a leap towards improving the quality of services provided, reducing the number of random errors and optimizing operating costs. First of all, two things were kept in focus: creating a single source of data on diagnostic tests and automating service lifecycle management. Now the process of entering tests has become more predictable. After the standard operating procedures are fully run and debugged, the lab expects to be able to shorten the production cycle of other tests. The purity of the diagnostic test data was increased to 87-100%, taking into account the 95% confidence interval,
noted Sergey Karach, Deputy General Director for IT of the federal network of medical laboratories KDL.

The launch of MDM is the first step towards integrity in data management, which in the era of omnichannel communication significantly increases the speed of implementation of changes and timely distribution of information.
commented Olga Malinovskaya, head of the medical department of the federal network of medical laboratories KDL.
