On December 14, 2021, AFK Sistema and South Korean ICT giant KT Corporation agreed on a cooperation in which partners will create diagnostic medical centers in Russia specializing in laboratory diagnostics and comprehensive body examinations (Check Up).

The agreement also provides that AFK Sistema and KT Corporation will join forces construction data center in Russia.

The signed agreement creates wide opportunities for combining the unique experience and advanced technologies of partners from Korea with the competencies and knowledge of the local market of AFK Sistema Group companies. We are confident that this cooperation will make a significant contribution to the development of preventive medicine and digital infrastructure in Russia, "said Vladimir Yevtushenkov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sistema.

KT Corporation CEO Ku Hyun Mo, in turn, expressed hope that the cooperation started with the Russian corporation will create opportunities to realize synergies from the joint work of the two companies, thanks to the consolidation of AFK Sistema's experience in investments and asset management in various industries and modern KT Corporation technologies in the field of medical diagnostics and data storage. In his opinion, the construction of a diagnostic center and a data center will allow KT Corporation to contribute to the economic development of Russia and improve the quality of life of Russian citizens.

This is not the first KT Corpation project in Russia. Earlier, the company launched a digital project to provide remote medical diagnosis and treatment with the participation of hospital specialists in the largest country in the world. The company's partners in the implementation of this project were Russian Railways and Bundang Hospital at Seoul National University (SNUBH).[1]
