The company JSC Kalugapribor"" (part of the holding Roselectronics"") State Corporation "Rostec" is transforming the national project "Labor Productivity." Experts Regional Competence Center (RCC) who are the operator of the national project are helping the company to introduce lean production. The center operates on the basis of the Business Development Agency. This was Kaluga region announced on December 14, 2022 by the Business Development Agency.

One of the initial stages was the introduction of 5S. This lean manufacturing tool helps to effectively organize the workspace, free it from unnecessary items, and place the necessary ones within the work area. Usually, the implementation of the 5S takes place in several stages. Its main principles are: sorting, keeping order, keeping clean, standardization, improvement. Following simple rules allows you to significantly reduce time losses on the search for the necessary parts and tools.

The Kalugapribor specialists, together with the RCC experts, began using the 5S from the reference area of ​ ​ numerical program control (CNC) of the assembly of the body of the special equipment unit. Measures were carried out here that helped reduce the loss of tool search and tooling during equipment re-installation:

• A remodeling tool storage location has been created near each operator workstation.
• Snap-in storage zones have been created separately.
• Address storage and refill system for CNC machines have been made.

These solutions made it possible to free up 600 hours of equipment operation.

The CNC area works 365 days a year for 12 hours. The time that the plant saved will be used to make other products. In fact, it was possible to free the machines for new work, noted the project manager of the RCC Maxim Davydov.

JSC "Kalugapribor" specializes in the production of communication equipment. The company dates back to 1957, and in 2011 it became part of JSC Concern Avtomatika. In addition to the manufacture of telecommunications facilities, the company provides services for the protection of information and countering foreign technical intelligence.

Reducing the time of assembly of special items

The enterprise JSC "Kalugapribor" started transformations within the framework of the national project "Kalugapribor productivity." The operator of the national project is the Regional Competence Center (RCC), operating on the basis of the Business Development Agency of the Kaluga Region. This was announced on September 27, 2022 by the Kalugapribor company.

The company hosted a launch meeting, the first module for teaching the basics of lean technologies. Production transformations will begin with a pilot flow of assembly of the body of the special equipment unit.
