2023: Moving to ELMA365
Kaspersky Lab has implemented a ELMA365 solution. Elma announced this on December 14, 2023.
Work began in July 2022, and more than 20,000 hours were spent collectively by the internal team and integrator by the pilot's launch in October 2023. The most difficult task was the formation of the ELMA Technical Platform infrastructure service, essentially Private Cloud, which would meet the strict requirements of information security, fault tolerance and scalability. The technical difficulties and limitations that arose during the project were recorded and entered into the ELMA365 development roadmap.
As a result of the project, it was possible not only to transfer key functionality from SAP Ariba to ELMA365, but also to simplify the process of renegotiating applications during changes, to make delegation and sharing more convenient. The key requirement for information security was the deployment of the platform in the infrastructure of Kaspersky Lab. ELMA365 is built on an open source stack, which required investment in forming a team with suitable competencies. The presence of ELMA Technical Platform will allow the company to make all further implementations much faster and cheaper, including replacing the contract portal and automating application services.
The need import substitution for not only affected purchases. Cloudy Salesforce the platform also required replacement within a short time frame. The full scope of functionality could not be implemented within the same system, so it was decided to decompose the processes into several tracks and divide them between several teams. This approach made increased demands on capabilities, and the integration ELMA365 corresponded to them. Now the ELMA365 automates the processes of coordinating the key business activities of sales-: marketing MDF, NFR, NAL, quotas and resellers.
In 2022, we were faced with the impossibility of extending cloud service contracts with major international vendors. So we faced the task of finding an alternative to the domestic software market. The procurement process at Kaspersky Lab was built and worked efficiently, over the years of use, users got used to the system and gave good feedback. We were under no illusions that we could find a boxed solution that would meet all our needs. Therefore, they concentrated on finding a flexible, reliable, fault-tolerant, scalable platform and a partner who can implement all our tasks on its basis, "said Stanislav Drotsevich, senior service manager at Kaspersky Lab. |
{{quote 'The project allowed to maintain business continuity and make a smooth transition to domestic software. Due to the fact that during the implementation it was possible to take into account user "pains," we expect an even greater level of satisfaction with the implemented system. In addition, since some other systems are also planned to be transferred to ELMA365, this will make it possible to make seamless integration between them within a single platform, "commented Maxim Gudkov, director of IT services development at Kaspersky Lab. }}
The introduction of ELMA365 in Kaspersky Lab has become an important large-scale project for us for an IT company with high requirements for information security and fault tolerance. It is difficult to withstand the expectations of users when you replace the purchasing leader solution from a vendor with a long history, but we are glad that the implementation team on the customer's side managed to build the necessary business processes, while preserving the user experience and patterns of import-substituting interfaces for the convenience of users and a painless move, - added Natalia Dolzhenkova, Product Owner ELMA365. |
