The project of use ArcGIS Online to "Kazakstan Garysh Sapary"

The Russian company Esri CIS (the official distributor in the Esri company CIS countries) announced in November, 2014 signing of the memorandum of understanding and cooperation with company Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary Oil Company. The document was signed at the Second international seminar "Days of space in Kazakhstan" which passed in the middle of November of this year in the city of Astana.

The memorandum lays the foundations for cooperation of the companies in distribution and use of the space pictures received from the KazEOSat-1 and KazEOSat-2 spacecrafts of an average and high resolution. These spacecrafts (S) were put to orbit in the current year within the project on creation of a space system of the remote sensing of Earth (RSE) of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In addition to the DZZ satellites, the project also includes a land complex of control of satellites and a target complex for acceptance and processing of space data.

According to the Memorandum, it is going to provide support of the data obtained with KA of KazEOSat-1 and KazEOSat-2 and also to use possibilities of cloud infrastructure of ArcGIS Online for distribution of pictures. Besides, creation of a number of finished information products for different groups and categories of users, including data obtained from these satellites is supposed. Support of different models of processing of such pictures in the products ArcGIS is also provided.

ArcGIS Online represents cloud GIS platform for joint work and allows to create and publish maps, supplements and data. Work in ArcGIS Online is carried out in the protected cloud of Esri company. ArcGIS Online increases efficiency of joint work between different departments and the working groups at reducing costs for support of own GIS as work with ArcGIS Online does not require installation of any additional software or the equipment.
