Konar implements a management system for engineering data 1C:PDM

For the purpose of increase in efficiency of process of preparation of production of Konar Ltd began system implementation of management of engineering data 1C:PDM.

Konar Ltd is the advanced and dynamically developing specialized enterprise. The main activity of Konar Ltd is design and production of flanges, fixture, parts and nodes of the pipeline. In January, 2011 the new plant on production of metalwork was started and production of gate latches for oil pipelines is adjusted.

Main objectives of the enterprise:

• Preserving and strengthening of a position of the producer of high-quality and competitive products;
• Complete and timely satisfaction of needs of an oil and gas sector for high-quality products;
• Development of comprehensive cooperation with the advanced enterprises of Russia and Europe.

For achievement of effective objectives at the enterprise the big complex of works including the choice and purchase of the modern and effective equipment and the software for automation of design process and production of products is carried out.

As a PDM system the joint solution of 1C Company and APPIUS company – "1C:PDM Management of engineering data", allowing to manage electronic structure of a product, file archive of design and technology documentation, to keep account of originals and copies of paper archive, to calculate labor and material regulations, to operate with electronic notifications on change, differentiation of access rights to design and technology information was selected. The solution was selected proceeding from functionality, the price, readiness for application and short term of start in operation. 1C:PDM it is delivered with open source codes, in case of need administrators of 1C can independently make necessary settings.

For the purpose of fast system learning 1C:PDM, at the enterprise the specialist of APPIUS company conducted training courses on work in a system for designers and technologists. During training options of creation of audits on a product and its components, editing documents and files of the created audits were in detail considered that in turn will allow designers not only to support data on a product in current status, but also to trace all changes of a product during its lifecycle.

Regarding management of manufacturing techniques, during training formation of operational technology on products was considered in more detail. Specialists of Konar Ltd created technology build processes of a product with the subsequent creation of transitions and regulation of transactions.

Besides, during training mechanisms of interaction of a 1C system were considered: PDM with used at the enterprise CAD- a system Solid Edge ST4 and ERP- the 1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management system, is shown functionality of the ERP component checking correctness transferred data as a result of creation of structure of a product and technology of its production.

Knowledge gained by specialists of the enterprise will allow the enterprise to reach qualitatively new level of training productions, excepting duplication of design-technology data in network and local folders of the enterprise, having come to the centralized information storage about the developed and made products in a 1C system: PDM.
