2019: Hardware upgrade of the plant
On October 3, 2019 it became known, Rostec started the large-scale program of upgrade of one of defense industry enterprises – Kurganmashzavod (KMZ). Until the end of 2020 the plant will receive more than 30 software-controlled digital machines.
Updating of the machine park will allow KMZ to increase twice production of civil products, in particular parts for the equipment of high passability.
The most part of the equipment will be set at the machine-assembling plant – on those sections of a technology chain where additional resources are necessary for performance improvement. Several turning processing centers purchased for the plant of welded constructions. The first 11 processing complexes with numerical control will appear at the enterprise in 2019[1].

Implementation of digital industrial equipment on KMZ will allow to increase production volumes of civil products twice. At the same time equipment checkout at start of different types of products will happen five-ten times quicker. It is important to note that the supplied industrial equipment is made by Rostec at capacities of the Kovrov electromechanical plant. On KMZ for October, 2019 two machines are installed - it is the five-coordinate turning and milling centers. In the nearest future the processing centers will be delivered vertically milling four-axial, milling five-axial and turning. In addition to updating of the machine park at Kurganmashzavod acquisition of the specialized equipment for forge and foundry and instrumental productions is planned.
