2023: Launch of three ultra-fast charging stations for electric buses

Operator Sitronics Electro built electric bus charging stations in Kurskeultraband. Sitronics announced this on December 1, 2023.

The stations were built within the framework of the state program "Development of the transport system," approved by the Government of the Russian Federation. In the city, 10 new electric buses entered public routes for the first time, for charging which the ultra-fast charging stations Sitronics Electro were launched.

The launch was attended by First Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Andrey Kostyuk and Governor of the Kurskaya Region Roman Starovoit.

The first electric bus route entered the roads of the regional center. Like the previously appeared buses and trolleybuses, electric buses are equipped with the most modern way: on board there are climate control, passenger auto-informing systems, validators for self-payment, video surveillance and passenger auto-counting. 3 charging stations were purchased for the project. I note that Kursk is one of the few cities where electric buses have already been launched. This indicates significant attention to us from the federal center. It is also important that the purchase of new equipment took place thanks to the national project "Safe High-Quality Roads," said Roman Starovoit, Governor of the Kursk Region.

In Kursk, the operator built three ultra-fast 300 kW charging stations that allow electric buses to charge up to 80 percent in 15 minutes.

The park station - with six domes - is installed in a trolleybus depot and is designed to simultaneously charge 6 electric buses at once with a uniform distribution of power over them. Two urban stations are installed on the route, each of which is designed for one-time charging of one electric bus. The charging process is very simple: the driver just needs to drive up to the station and connect with a pantograph to the charger without leaving the cab.

In addition to charging stations, we also developed a unified charging infrastructure management system. The program distributes power between charging stations, allows you to monitor the state of each station in real time and quickly control technological processes - draw up a schedule for charging an electric bus, receive reports on electricity consumption and conduct online monitoring of the network. This supports the stable operation of the station, said Armen Safaryan, advisor to the president of Sitronics Group.

In total, in 2023, as part of the federal program for updating urban electric transport, the company installs and launches more than 50 charging stations for electric buses in 9 cities of Russia.
