2020: Preparation for implementation of a 5G

Orange helps LACROIX Group to prepare for implementation of a 5G at the enterprise for production of electronics of the class "Industry 4.0". It became known on November 10, 2020.

The 5G will allow to implement the concept of 'modular factory' on production and will facilitate managements of the technical systems of the plants

For November, 2020 within the Symbiose project on it full-scale tests of opportunities of 5G networks are carried out to the industries. The tested technologies will be applied at construction of 'future plant the' of LACROIX Electronics planned to opening in 2021. As the tool for transformation of business of a 5G will allow to implement the concept of 'modular factory' in the industry, having facilitated management of the technical systems on production.

The Orange company developed for carrying out this test and unrolled an internal 5G network based on the equipment of Ericsson:

• in the plant four 5G antennas of Ericsson Dot which provides a covering of production areas with a communication network at experimental frequencies are set;
• Orange manages the virtualized network integrating data center of Orange and the LACROIX Electronics plant. It gives the chance to provide safe and fast data processing and also the efficiency and network performance optimal for needs of LACROIX Electronics.

The implemented LACROIX Electronics and Orange of the solution will simplify adaptability of the plant to the changing production needs.

Besides, reliability of a 5G will allow to control quality of production better. Also Orange and LACROIX Group test a 5G for improvement of management of the technical systems of buildings and infrastructure. The experiment is made in the controlled environment of workshop where electronic cards are made for aircraft.

2019: Partnership with the purpose of studying of opportunities of use of a 5G

On May 21, 2019 Orange Business Services announced partnership with production company in the field of high LACROIX Group technologies for studying of opportunities of the innovation use of a 5G within work on a prototype of a system of manufacturing of "Symbiose" which is developed by LACROIX Group. Tests on implementation of a 5G, in partnership with Orange will allow the company to be among the most advanced and technological players of the market. They will include deployment of internal network and a capability check of connection to network on an industrial facility and also studying of ways of optimization of production using autonomous vehicles and other equipment connected to 5G network.
