The Gemotest laboratory on March 11, 2021 announced a partnership with Yandex.Routing. The company will use logistics platform technologies in order to increase the speed of arrival of medical personnel to patients.

If earlier the patient could choose only the day of arrival of the medical worker, then thanks to the first results of the project, he can choose the 2-3 hour interval during which the Hemotest employee will come to him. Improving service comfort was achieved thanks to the work on improving the quality of the formed routes - increasing their capacity, minimizing mileage and delays.

"Logistics in medicine has its own complexities and features. So, the algorithm should build the route in such a way that the nurse begins to detour patients from her house, and then hand over biomaterials to the research center closest to her, "said Danil Shelekhov, head of Yandex.Routing. - Manual accounting of all these parameters can take several hours, while the algorithm handles this in a few minutes. "

The system handles a daily route for 50 nurses in Moscow - an average of 8 to 15 patients per day. Yandex.Routing is actively used in St. Petersburg and other cities of presence. The interim results of the project led to a reduction in the time for forming the routes of visiting nurses and doctors and an improvement in the quality of client service. In the future, the Hemotest Laboratory plans to improve the quality of service through the departure of nurses to patients on the day of application.
