2025: Adoption of the Consid.WMS

Consid and Lactalis Russia, one of the dairy producers in Russia, have completed the implementation of the Consid.WMS warehouse management system at the company's warehouse in Berezovsky, Sverdlovsk Region. The results of the implementation are already manifested in increasing the speed of cargo processing, reducing assembly errors and improving the transparency of logistics processes, which confirms the effectiveness of the chosen solution. Consid announced this on August 11, 2025.

Lactalis Russia is a company with well-known brands Président, Galbani, Parmalat and others. For a company with a large range of products with short shelf life, automation of warehouse logistics is a key element in improving the quality of service, minimizing errors and speeding up order processing. In the context of the departure of foreign software suppliers, Lactalis chose the Russian solution Consid.WMS to replace the foreign system in order to ensure the independence and flexibility of the development of the IT infrastructure.

The first stage of transferring warehouses to the Consid.WMS system was implemented in 2024 at a distribution center with an area of 8,000 square meters in the Moscow region, where a wide range of functionality was introduced: support for working with several temperature zones, virtual replenishment of the selection zone, flexible placement and selection strategies, quality control, as well as integration with the Fair Sign marking system. The system was launched without stopping the warehouse, which made it possible to quickly adapt to the new solution and start scaling it.

The second warehouse facility is located at a large dairy enterprise - a branch of the Belgorod Dairy Plant in Berezovsky, Sverdlovsk Region, which produces a large range of dairy products from milk to curd cheeses. During the scaling, the warehouse deployed a version of the system with full functionality for the warehouse in the Moscow region, including the automation of all key processes - acceptance, placement, movement, selection, packaging, shipment and inventory of goods, as well as in the shortest possible time, additional functionality was developed, which after testing was introduced at both facilities.

Special attention was paid to work with labeled products and various temperature zones, which is critical for the dairy industry. Thanks to flexible order strategies and visual configuration of algorithms, system administrators have the ability to independently configure work strategies for each recipient of the product in Consid.WMS, taking into account its individual requirements. This allows you to flexibly control parameters such as the type of assembly (order or multipacking), weight and size restrictions, takeoff units (piece, box, layer, pallet), the number of articles and orders on the pallet, as well as selection features by layers and columns. Special attention is paid to the quality management of the inventory: the work with quarantine, temperature modes and many blocking by batches is supported, which allows you to quickly control processes and ensure the necessary product quality for the end customer.

Since the training and practice of working with the system took place at the first facility in the Moscow region, this made it possible to replicate the best practices, minimize the risks of lack of expertise and staff uncertainty in working with the new system. The system was started without stopping the warehouse and with minimal risks and transferred to round-the-clock technical support.

The company plans to continue the transfer of two more warehouse facilities to the Consid.WMS technology platform, which will create a single digital ecosystem for logistics management and strengthen its market position in the context of import substitution.
