2022: Introduction of InStock WMS warehouse management system in Leader-Moscow

Dairy products, ice cream require special storage conditions taking into account the peculiarities of the products - shelf life, batches, batches of products. In addition, dairy products are subject to Mandatory labeling, which imposes additional conditions for the processing and traceability of goods in stock.

The tasks of warehouse automation were:

• Reduction of time for product placement, selection and shipment;
• When processing goods, compliance with the features - shelf life, compliance with the temperature regime, batch characteristics of goods;

• Reducing errors in the processing of goods;
• Accounting and commodity processing of products marked Honest Sign and Mercury, preparation of the warehouse for sample accounting of dairy products;

When implementing InStock WMS, acceptance processes were automated. The accuracy of further commodity processing also depends on the quality of acceptance.

After the acceptance of each individual pallet, InStock WMS automatically creates jobs for its placement. Placement of InStock WMS products according to certain rules, taking into account shelf life and storage conditions in compliance with the temperature regime.

As a result of the InStock WMS-managed placement, all goods in stock are under strict control. This speeds up the further order selection process and reduces the time for inspection during shipments.

After the operator puts orders into the selection, the warehouse employees receive a selection task for the shipping documentation. To optimize selection, the InStock WMS system plans to first select the product with a pallet quantity (an entire pallet from the storage area). Then, the remainder is planned by the number of boxes and pieces from the sampling zones. The system uses other methods for sampling from floor cells.

This project uses several selection methods:

• Selection sorted by orders on the pitchfork;
• Order selection;
• Selection by order with sticky boxes;
• Total sampling with subsequent sorting;
• Pallet selection.

InStock WMS manages replenishment and regular inventory in the warehouse.

According to InStock Technologies, under the management of InStock WMS, the selection of orders in the warehouse takes place without errors with 100% accuracy and the control of selected orders may not be carried out.

Special attention was paid to the upcoming sample accounting of products marked Honest Sign. All the necessary functionality in the system has been configured so that in the future the processing of each product unit does not cause delays in warehouse processes. Despite the fact that batch accounting of dairy products has not yet begun, InStock WMS provides for the accounting and processing of each Data Matrix code. The item by WMS will be considered serial with traceability of serial numbers from receipt to shipment.
