Left-bank CB (Informatica PowerCenter)

Two largest banks of the Siberian and Far East federal districts started creation of a performance management system. For Primsotsbank and Left-bank the solution on the basis of the uniform data warehouse which will allow to unify and lift to hi-tech level processes of release of the reporting for the Bank of Russia, the management reporting and budgeting will be created.

The Intersoft Lab company, the supplier of data warehouses and BPM systems, began the new BPM project in Primsotsbank (Vladivostok) and bank Left-bank of CB (Novosibirsk). During the project the system of the class BPM, uniform for two banks will be created (Business Performance Management – business performance management).

The uniqueness of the project is that the methodology and automation of accounting and preparation of the reporting in both banks differ at the moment. Creation of a BPM system is initiated as one of the main actions within rapprochement of these processes. Its purpose – to provide online access to the general shareholders and top managers of Primsotsbank and Levoberezhny bank to the authentic and approved information on results of activity of both banks for acceptance of management decisions.

It is expected that within the project in two banks works on unification of methodologies of preparation of the obligatory and management reporting will be carried out. The general methodical model developed as a result will become a basis for creation of a VRM-system on the basis of the uniform data warehouse.

The Intersoft Lab company offered the following solution architecture. In Levoberezhny bank the data warehouse "Circuit" on DBMS Oracle – a basis of a uniform BPM system will be unrolled. For data integration CORE BANKING SYSTEM and the other accounting systems of both banks with uniform storage the decision to use the integration platform is made Informatica PowerCenter.

Considering the scale of a solvable task, in the project selected business and significant stages, each of which will allow bank to bring into operation a ready set of functionality, in particular, relevant packets of the reporting for the Bank of Russia. It will allow to reduce consistently labor costs on reporting and to increase its quality.

Besides, based on a BPM system automate formation of the management reporting and budgeting. For work with intra bank statements bank employees will use the analytical Oracle BI platform.

The management of bank sets the purpose as much as possible to involve personnel in works on implementing solution that process of "implantation" of new tools and methodologies took place in short terms and with the greatest effect. In particular, training of employees of the bank in work with the integration Informatica tools, later – with the Circuit softwares applied interfaces is planned in the nearest future.

In the future a BPM system will become available base for automation of the reporting under requirements of IFRS, tax statements, asset-liability management, risk management and other problems of performance management.
