2021: Delivery via 5Post pedestals
On October 21, 2021, the company X5 Group announced that its subsidiary 5Post and the Leonardo hypermarkets, federal chain of stores of goods for creativity, needlework and hobby were launching a joint project to deliver goods.
Now orders issued at the Leonardo online store will be delivered to the nearest 5Post delivery point located in Pyaterochka stores or 5Post pedestal.
As of October 2021, 5Post includes more than 16,000 postamats and order issuance points located at cash desks in stores of the Pyaterochka network.
At the initial pilot stage, residents of Moscow and the Moscow region will be able to use the service. In the future, the company plans to expand the delivery region, with access to 57 regions.
Consumers will be able to purchase goods with a maximum weight of 15 kg and maximum departure dimensions - 36cm x 40cm x 61cm.
The first Leonardo store opened in 2007, and as of October 2021, hobby hypermarkets are present in more than 60 cities of Russia. Along with the opening of stores, the network seeks to develop online services for the convenience of customers. The Leonardo range is more than 90,000 items for various creative areas and needlework techniques, both for professionals and beginners - this is a product that is quite complex for sale online. However, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of purchases through the online store increased significantly and there was an urgent need for contactless customer service.
