2024: Purchase of the Pudu CC1 robot
MD Facility Management acquired the PUDU CC1 robots. These "specialists" carry out supporting cleaning. One such device can remove up to 500 m2 per hour. This was reported to Pudu Robotics (Pudu Technology) on June 3, 2024.
According to the operating director of MD Facility Management Boris Mezentsev, the use of robots is partly due to the desire to comply with a high-tech cluster, follow time trends and introduce intelligent systems in all areas of operation, including cleaning.
Modern robots are still far from perfect. For example, a robot can stop due to the fact that people walk nearby, whom it perceives as an obstacle. It happens that children press the emergency stop button, and this also slows down the work. Operators are required to control the devices, and for the main cleaning, it is still necessary to involve personnel. So there is no need to say that robots will soon replace people in our work, - said Boris Mezentsev. |
Nevertheless, they have advantages over standard breakdown machines - a decrease in resource consumption. Robots use many times less water and detergents. Also, the use of robots can optimize the number of personnel, but this is relevant if at least three pieces of equipment are used on the site.
In addition, technologies are developing intensively, and, perhaps, after a while, robots will help in solving the personnel issue, which is very acute in professional cleaning, - said Boris Mezentsev. |
