2025: Provision of operating conditions for the reconstruction of the substation

The branch of JSC SO UES Voronezh RDU together with the Branch of PJSC Rosseti - Verkhne-Donskoye PMES provided operating conditions for the reconstruction of the 220 kV Bobrov substation (PS), which provides power supply to one of the major agro-industrial clusters in the region. This was announced by SO UES on February 4, 2025.

As part of the reconstruction project, domestic 110 kV gas-insulated switches and microprocessor relay protection and emergency control terminals of Russian production were installed at the substation.

The technical re-equipment of the supply center has increased the reliability of electrical equipment and RPA devices at the electric power facility providing power to the area with a population of more than 50 thousand residents, as well as enterprises of the agro-industrial complex and the food industry, including the famous Russian producer of flour and cereals of the Hercules company, "said Natalya Panova, director of the Voronezh RDU.

During the design and preparation for commissioning of the new substation equipment, the System Operator's specialists took part in the preparation of the terms of reference for the design, review and approval of the design and working documentation, coordination of the conditions for the technological connection of the power facility to the electric networks, development of comprehensive programs for voltage testing and putting the equipment into operation.

The specialists of the Voronezh RDU calculated the electric power modes of the region's power system, calculated the values ​ ​ of short-circuit currents for various circuits and stages of turning on the equipment, determined the settings (setpoints) of relay protection and automation devices, tested telemetric systems for collecting and transmitting information to the dispatch center.

The measures taken made it possible to carry out the entire range of work without interruptions in the power supply of consumers and violation of the approved schedules for the repair of equipment of power grid companies in the Voronezh region.
