2020: Start of SA 5G network in East Africa
On January 22, 2020 the company ZTE Corporation also MTN Uganda announced joint start of the first in East To Africa 5G network SA with service band 60 MHz and actual transfer rate data at the level of higher than 1.494 GB / with, capable to support a broad spectrum of applied scenarios, including connection of the "gigabit without fiber" format, Cloud XR, forward translations of ultra-HD, autonomous driving and another.
As it was reported, it is the first SA 5G network in East Africa. During its creation and operation the 5G equipment from ZTE company in a complex with the solution Common Core providing complete separation of signal and user traffic without participation of reference network LTE (ERS) is used. By means of easy and trouble-free updating the network is also capable to support all standard applications of a 5G, including uRLLC and mMTC.
The presentation of SA 5G network also included a data transmission session in real time using a local network of the fixed wireless access, demonstration of the bionic robot and also applied scenarios for Cloud VR and other segments of an industry vertical.
During the action the ZTE company showed the complete commercial solutions 5G which the 5G of Common Core, Beyond 100G Transmission, a 5G of Flexhaul, a 5G of New Radio and Big Video and also the terminals 5G were among: smartphones Axon 10 Pro 5G routers for installation in premises and in the open air, etc.
ZTE cooperates with MTN since 2009. Spheres of partnership of two companies cover wireless communication, reference networks, data transmission, power infrastructure, terminals and services of operational maintenance. For January, 2020 the Chinese developer has experience of interaction with 11 MTN branches in implementation of the most various projects.
