Beginning of cooperation

In September, 2005 the management of JSC MOEK made the decision on transition to a single information platform. The choice of the SAP solution is caused by a possibility of expansion of functionality of a system according to growth of business and "seamless" integration of all applications based on the single information platform covering all fields of activity of the enterprise.

In November, 2005 closed competition at the choice of the general contractor took place. According to the results of the tender the winner announced "Group Smart of Technologies", offered the most advantageous conditions. The wide experience of the company in the field of implementation of IT solutions at the enterprises of the city of Moscow became other decisive factor for benefit of such choice.

In September, 2006 Moskovskaya United Energy Company (JSC MOEK) specializing in generation, transportation and sale to the population of heat power, and SAP in the CIS countries announced contract signature about the implementing solution "Management of the Modern Enterprise" (mySAP Business Suite).

The agreement provides automation of the main business processes of the enterprise: accounting managements and budget, maintenance and repair of the equipment, material flows, technical and commercial electricity metering, personnel, fixed assets and real estate.

Project Objective:

Increase in controllability power and thermal communications, ensuring transparency of a company performance for investors and consumers and also more effective control over use of resources and quality excellence of the provided services.

Description

The project will include three stages: on the first (the 2nd sq. 2007) creation of the reference solution and automation of a material supplies and sale is supposed. So in 4th East branch, the 13th Energkomlleks and the 11th Gorenergosbyt implementation of such funktsionalnost as PM is planned there are "Maintenance and Repair of the Equipment", MM Logistics, FI – FM – Budget management and CO – Managerial accounting and IS-U "Calculation of Payments for Consumed Electro and Heat Power".

On the second (the 4th sq. 2007) – expansion of funktsionalnost and also automation of management personnel of the enterprise and replication of the solution on all other eksplutatsionny branches is supposed. With the implementing solution SAP Strategic Enterprise Management and SAP Business Information Warehouse creation of a single system of consolidated financial statements and transition to international accounting standards will become possible.

On the third (1 sq. 2009) plans further development of functionality of a corporate information system for the purpose of creation of a full-function corporate information system.

According to the management of "The Moscow United Energy Company", the number of users of SAP in 2006 will reach 500, in 2007 - 2,500, and in 2008 - 3.500 persons. Automation will concern about 2,900,000 personal accounts of physical and more than 28,000 legal entities.
