On August 18, 2021, Raiffeisen Bank announced the launch of a QR-code payment service through the Express Payment System (SBP) in one of the retail chains in the Siberian region - Maria-Ra. This is the bank's first project to introduce SBP in the retail sector in Western Siberia. The service is implemented in supermarkets where self-service ticket offices are installed.

Integration with SBP allows Maria-Ra customers to pay for their purchases quickly and simply using QR codes using a regular smartphone. At the self-service cash desk, you must select the payment method "via BSS" and scan the proposed QR code. After that, in the mobile application of your bank, which supports payment through the SBP, you need to confirm payment. The money is sent to the store's account within 15 seconds, after which the buyer receives a cash receipt. For buyers, payment through the SBP is free.

Self-service cash desks and software of this equipment at Maria-Ra are technological innovations of the network. That is why the implementation of the project on the introduction of SBP in supermarkets began with this direction.
