Project Objective
Due to implementation of the unified information system on formation of orders Consultants of the company, required development of the new software package automating process of information input from paper forms of orders in the single database. The following tasks were set for a software package:
- Provide recognition of information handwritten on specially developed forms of orders by processing of the scanned images
- Provide quality control of the recognized information
- Provide the most ergonomic interface of operators users of a complex providing the highest performance and quality of the created data
- Provide the multifunction administration system of a complex allowing to control execution of operations and introduce necessary amendments
- Provide unloading of data retrieveds in the unified information system
Solution
As a basic product for creation of the solution ABBYY Form Reader Developer Edition 6.0 was selected. At the same time was decided to refuse implementation of the standard industrial solution ABBYY Form Reader Enterprise Edition 6.5 for benefit of own development S&T Russia with the purpose to receive the solution which is most adapted to needs of the Customer. 4 user applications are a part of a complex:
- The scanning station – this application differs from the standard ABBYY Form Reader similar application in an ability to manage parameters in the way, convenient for users
- The station of verification – as the station of verification of the recognizable characters the standard application is used: station of verification ABBYY Form Reader
- The station of adjustment – the station of adjustment differs from the similar application which is a part of Form Reader Enterprise Edition 6.5, higher ergonomics of the graphic user interface adapted for processing of the hints created by difficult rules and a possibility of removal of interactive hints to the user
- The station of administration – this application is also developed taking into account specifics of processing of multipage forms of orders. The logic of processing of a pack of orders is implemented in such a way that the pages relating to one pack can go in random order and alternately with pages of other forms. At the same time difficulties when collecting in a uniform set of one or several orders do not interfere with processing of other forms. The station of administration allows to exercise full control over data processing cycle
Management of data processing in the Complex is implemented by means of independently working modules. Interaction between software modules, exchange and information storage is performed by means of use of MS SQL Server DBMS.
Result
In comparison with standard means, industrial implementation of the developed solution allowed to make processing and formation of orders with significantly higher performance and quality of data processing. Also considerably the convenience of work of operators of the center of processing orders of Mary Kay Ltd increased.
