MegaFon completed system implementation of tariffing of subscribers of broadband access

On August 20, 2014 it became known of implementation of the PCRF software product of Petter Service company for management of politicians and tariffing as a part of the PCC platform (Policy and Charging Control) in eight branches of JSC "MegaFon".

Project Progress

Work on the project began in the middle of 2013 with trial start of the PCC solution in the Volga region branch of MegaFon together with the Huawei company which implemented function of application of policy and tariffing (PCEF). Experienced and commercial operation of a product in the Volga region branch began in December, 2013.

In January, 2014 implementation is carried out in the Far East branch, in March, 2014 – in Siberian, in April, 2014 the product was started in Capital, Northwest, Central and Ural branches.

Project Results

The works are completed in May, 2014 by start of the solution in the Caucasian branch of operator.

"With implementation of the PCC solution the MegaFon company had a set of opportunities – the product opens a way to creation of new services, – Alexey Sushkov, the chief of the PCRF group of Petter Service company told. – As an example of possible new services: quoting of traffic for several devices, ensuring quality of service depending on type of traffic or the application using it, transmission control of data in roaming, providing the personalized services and many other things".
