CORUS Consulting transfers Metabo to the new version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV

The CORUS Consulting group began with spring of 2012 the project on transfer of an information system of Metabo company (the Russian branch of Metabo international concern) to the new version of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform. Updating of a system at the Russian office – a part of global process of upgrade of an information system of Metabo concern in all branches worldwide.

The Metabo concern is world famous producer and the supplier of electric tools and the equipment. The company is founded in 1924, now its structure includes more than 20 representations in the different countries. The corporate standard of information systems of concern is Microsoft Dynamics NAV which ensures functioning of head office in Germany and branches worldwide. In 2004, together with opening in Russia of the first branch - Metabo Evraziya LLC, - started the project on implementation of a corporate system which implementation entrusted CORUS Consulting Group. The integrator successfully automated key business processes of division, and then within 7 years provided technical support of the implemented solution.

At the global level implementation of IT strategy and development of corporate information systems of concern are provided by separate division of Metabo IT in Germany. It conducts systematic work on creation of new tools, upgrades of a system and increase in convenience of users. At the moment global solution is transferred to the new version of the platform - Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009, and divisions of concern update the local systems for support of the new standard worldwide. At the Russian office "Metabo" a transfer of a system is made by CORUS Consulting Group.

It is planned that transition to the new version of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV2009 platform will allow the Russian representative office of Metabo concern to expand functionality of a system and more full to consider specifics of business processes of concern. For example, replenishment of a warehouse will be automated: using the module DispoTool will become possible to automate process of purchases, using statistics of sales of the last periods and the forecast of stock balance. In the new version are implemented more convenient and intuitive interfaces that will allow users to master quicker a new system and to work in it more effectively.

Transition to the new version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV2009 also opens for Metabo Evraziya new opportunities for automation of such business processes as tax accounting, personnel records and payroll, CRM and others. "It is important that development of a system happens in the Russian office within the global project of updating of an information system of Metabo concern.
