"The Middle Volga gas company" completed development of GIS

On June 30, 2014 the IT-Consult group announced completion of development of the information management system by gas distribution points in Middle Volga Gas Company LLC.

Project Results

Specialists of IT-Consult Group completed the project on development of an information system of database maintenance of gas distribution points of Middle Volga Gas Company LLC (SVGK). A system promotes streamlining of information on existence of the objects and strict accounting entered again. At the same time the uniqueness of archive number and operational providing information on again entered object for all interested divisions and departments is provided.

"Until recently in our organization there was a serious problem of registration of cupboard gas distribution points (ShGRP), - Denis Kryltsov, the lead engineer of department of operation of GIS of SVGK LLC told. - In the matter strict and operational accounting is very important since untimely processing of documentation leads to obtaining incorrect information that in turn complicates work of many divisions, including - abnormal services. However at data processing "manually" this process could occupy from 1 month to one year and more in connection with a "long" transit of executive technical documentation from the moment of start-up before acceptance in archive and registration. During this time gas distribution points had no archive numbers and, respectively, a time they were difficult to be identified according to the SVGK internal databases and the GIS card, relying only on their address. The implemented system corrected a situation, having allowed to enter information in the SVGK other databases at once, account in it is kept quickly, the problem of lack of data on archive number or confusions in them between different divisions remained in the past".
