2021: P7-Office delivery plans to educational institutions
The Ministry of Digital Development and the Ministry of Education of the Kamchatka Territory signed a cooperation agreement with the developer of the Russian office package P7-Office. This became known on April 7, 2021.
The company will donate a Russian office package to 121 schools, 137 kindergartens, 38 additional education organizations and 8 professional educational organizations of the peninsula.
The agreement was signed as part of the implementation of the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation "On establishing a ban on the admission of software originating from foreign countries for the purpose of procurement to meet state and municipal needs." The main objectives of the agreement are the popularization of Russian office products and the implementation of educational programs provided for by the national project "Digital Economy of Russia."
The transition to the use of domestic office software in educational institutions is directly related to the implementation of the federal and regional agenda on information security and import substitution. The package of office programs, which will be delivered to educational institutions of the Kamchatka Territory, includes not only editors of text documents, tables and presentations, but also image and video viewing tools, collaboration tools, an organizer with a calendar and a mail client. The server version provides multi-user access and document collaboration. There is a built-in chat, mail server, project management system.
Kamchatka Territory was the first region in the Far East to conclude such an agreement.
