2020: The translation of the onkodiagnostiki in Khabarovsk Krai in a digital format

The Yunim company, the resident Klastera of biomedical technologies of Skolkovo Foundation, and the Ministry of Health of Khabarovsk Krai signed the cooperation agreement. Thus, the whole region of the Russian Federation officially announced the beginning of transfer process of diagnosis of cancer in a digital format.

The parties will perform joint applied, educational and scientific projects in digitalization of medicine and pathological anatomy, in particular, on the basis of high-tech innovative solutions for telemedicine and also other educational and scientific projects.

For 2020 in the world there are more than 12 thousand types of tumoral processes, many of which extremely seldom meet and hardly give in to diagnostics. Use of digital diagnostics is capable to improve significantly skills of doctors, to improve indicators of detectability of oncological diseases and to lower percent of errors in diagnoses. Decline in mortality from cancer and increase in indicators of successful passing of therapy in all territory of Khabarovsk Krai will become a result.

As of August, 2020 in the region 20 morphological laboratories work. From 2016 to 2019 growth of incidence of malignant new growths in the region was 13%.

"Use of digital technologies will allow to provide to residents of the region the high level of the onkodiagnostiki. It is also about significant reduction of terms, and about an opportunity to address quickly for consultations leading experts of Russia and the world. We go on this unprecedented even within world practice a step because are sure of efficiency of the implemented technique", - Evgeny Nikonov, the Acting Deputy Prime Minister of Khabarovsk Krai on social problems, the Minister of Health noted.

The Russia's first digital onkodiagnostichesky laboratory "Yunim" opened in December, 2017. Monthly more than 5.5 thousand patients use its services.

"Digital Pathology technologies already proved that they allow to transform diagnostic process qualitatively. Implementation of the platform at the level of the whole region will help to reduce terms of waiting of the diagnosis and to minimize an error probability in it. In the long term it will lead to creation of a cluster of medical data which the region will be able to use as educational, methodical and scientific base", - Alexey Remez, the CEO of Yunim company noted.

"The YuNIM company improves several years the Digital Pathology system, making a team of pathologists and perfecting processes in the laboratory in Skolkovo. Transition of the whole region to the solution 'YuNIM' is not only the investigation of the general trend on digitalization of health care, but also recognition of experience of the skolkovky company in this sphere", - Vladimir Egorov, the director of operational work of the Cluster of biomedical technologies of Skolkovo Foundation said.
